  3. If I were a Native American living in the Eastern part of the United States I would be supporting the French. This is so because my tribe is allied with the French and our nations join together. Being on this side will help wage successful battles against the British because we get along better. The French has given my people better treatment in comparison to the British. The British troops are abusive and cruel. The French integrated with my people in a positive way, treating us with respect. We and helped each other while the British treated us, Native Americans poorly.

  5. If I was a Native American living in in the Ohio River Valley area of the Eastern United States, then I would most likely side with the French. Based on the relationships the natives have had with both sides, it would only be practical to side with the French. There was never any significant quarrels or disputes that went on between these two groups. The French traded with the Natives and never caused problems. On the other hand, the British constantly tried to take more and more from the natives. I would not have wanted to let the British take any more land than they deserve. The French would live with the Natives in peace, however, the British would take over. For these reasons, if I was a Native American during this time period, than I would most likely side with the French troops.

  6. If I were a Native American living in the Eastern part of the United States, I would support the French. When relationships between the Natives and the British and French are compared, there is less violence with the French. When the French inhabited the regions near the Natives, they did not take a violent approach. Their main objective was trade and not to take land from them. On the other hand, the British did not make a significant attempt to be civil with the Native Americans. They insisted on taking more of what they did not own from the Natives. Therefore, I would support the French due a larger chance of being treated with more respect.

  7. If I were a Native American living in the eastern part of the untied states I would have chosen to side with the French. The relationship between the French and Native Americans is better than the relationship between the natives and the British. When the French looked for land and first noticed the natives they were friendly and fair to them, as oppose to the British who forced the natives off their land so they could keep it for themselves. Siding with the French would be the safer move because of the past relationship shared, the trust is greater than it would be with the British. Siding with the British could bring about more problems for the Native American and that is why I would side with the French.

  8. If I were a Native American living in the eastern part of the United States, I would have chosen to support the French. The relationship between the British and Native Americans is more troubled than the relationship between the French and Native Americans. When the French needed to expand their land and ended up on Native American land, neither took a violent approach to one another; instead they agreed to share the land and even trade with one another. Moreover, the British took the complete opposite approach. The British instead intruded on the Native Americans land and caused a great deal of tension. All in all, I would rather side with the French in order to avoid more problems as well as put myself in a better position to receive the highest level of respect. In addition, trading with the Native Americans will help my way of life because of their tools and skills.

  9. As a Native American on the eastern part of the US, I would have allied with the French rather than the British. Although conflicts eventually arose between the French and Native America, the French were much more reasonable and less aggressive in terms of violence and land ownership. The French and Native Americans originally even traded and exchanged goods and ideas with one another where as the British would only communicate with the Natives for selfish reasoning. The Native Americans began to pick up on this false and overwhelming power that the British would inflict upon them. The French were much more relatable and easier to understand, which would be crucial at the time as the Native Americans were not familiar with these new faces. The French had much to offer and did help out the Native Americans significantly with their everyday life and eventually, tools, trades and tactics they would carry.

  10. If I were a Native American during the French and Indian War I would have sided with the French as opposed to the British. During that time Native Americans had a much stronger relationship with the French compared to the British. The British did not treat Native Americans well as they viewed them as savages and had no respect for their land and did not find a problem with taking it. However, the French were mainly there for wealth and took an interest in Native American cultures and ways, by learning their languages and really meet their people. This gave the French that edge as to why Native Americans were to most likely side with the French

  11. If I were to be a Native American living in the eastern part of the United States, I would have most likely chosen to side with the French. Although the French and Native Americans eventually had tension created between one another, the British had presented themselves in a different manner. Once both groups of people approached the Native Americans, the British were known to be more aggressive and violent towards them. They had stricter restrictions and created more conflicts with the Native Americans. On the other hand, the French chose to become allies with them for a period of time. The Native Americans agreed to having this relationship with the French due to their lack of violent behavior. The French were more appropriate when it came to the treatment of others. Therefore, I would have sided with them.

  12. If I was a Native American living in the eastern part of the United States, I would have chosen to be on the French's side. The French were civil with the Native Americans; they did not try to take any land from the natives - they solely wanted to trade and form good relationships. On the other hand, the British took things from the Natives such as land, which pushed many out of their homes and angered the Native Americans. For their forceful and unappreciated nature, I would most definitely not side with the British. The French's respectful behavior and want to trade would make me want to be on their side much rather than the British.

  13. If I was a Native American living in the eastern part of the United States, I would have sided with the French. The British are definitely not worth siding with. The French treated Native Americans much better than the British did, and I know they would not turn on us, while the British could have turned their backs on us at any moment and left us in a dangerous position. The French were reliable people who gave Native Americans respect and equality. Although the British ended up winning the war, siding with the French definitely would have been more logical in the moment since the outcome could not have been predicted, so choosing the side that would give reliable back up and respect, (the French) is how I would have dealt with the situation.

  14. Living as a Native American on the eastern side of the United States, I would have allied with the French. The French were civil with the Native Americans and only cared for trading and keeping good relationships with one another. The French did not care to steal land from them and use violence and forceful ways to get what they wanted. However, the British were cruel to the Natives and aggressive. They would not compromise. The Natives valued land in such a way that the europeans could not seek. Since they had such disagreements, conflicts arose more between the British and Natives than anyone else. It seemed to be much easier to deal with the French and compromise with them better. Since the focus was on good trading and not violent ways, as a Native American, I would have helped defend the French against the British.

  17. Was I a Native American during the French and Indian War, I would mostly likely have sided with the French. The British, as though had many more forces than the French and us Native Americans, were bellicose or acerbic. They were never really gregarious like the French. Furthermore, as fights continued to wax, so did the antipathy and acrimony between the Indians and the British continue to grow as well. The British deleteriously tried to make the Native Americans join their side. Nonetheless, they too treated their colonists and forces the same way. On the other hand, the French treated their's with respect. In addition, they had a relationship with the Native Americans, that the British doesn't, and with respect and care, they buttressed and helped each other in the war. The only reason why the British wanted the Native Americans to join their force, was because they were fixated on their strength and ability to fight. So, was I going to be treated like a garbage, what good is it siding with the British? Was I going to be only used as a tool, what good is it siding with the British--it's not like they were going to help my nation.

  18. As a Native American in the east side of the United States, I would have chose to go to the French side. Historically, the French were more kind to the Native Americans and they worked better together. The French gave the Native Americans what they wanted for the most part. The French and Native Americans just worked well naturally. The French was the only side that knew the deep advantages that the Native Americans possessed. The Native Americans knew the land better than anyone else. Also, they knew how to work the land and survive in the woods. The French valued that and were able to help the Native Americans more than the US, so I would choose to join the French.
